The Master Station and Slave Station of the Train MVB Bus

The working mode of the MVB bus is as follows: Only the bus master station (bus manager) issues the master frame, and the slave devices send slave frames in response to the master frame. The slave devices can only respond passively and do not actively send slave frames.

The master device, or the bus manager, is usually referred to as the master station.

The slave devices are usually called slave stations, and the network cards used for MVB communication by slave stations are often called MVB slave station cards.
