Protocol-Level ATC Radar Signal Selector — Yacer Releases HDLC-SWITCH

Feb.18,2026

Air traffic control (ATC) radar signals place extremely high demands on transmission reliability and are usually carried over multiple redundant links. After multiple signal paths are connected to an ATC automation system, they must be compared and optimally selected, and the most reliable path must be output to ensure stable system operation.

The Yace HDLC-SWITCH ATC radar signal selector integrates two 2-to-1 signal selection channels. It employs a 1U, 19-inch rack-mount chassis and supports dual redundant power supplies. Its input and output interfaces are selectable between RS-232 and RS-422, with a maximum baud rate of 250 Kbps.

Radar transmission links are mostly built by telecom carriers, and signals pass through multiple forwarding nodes. Conventional selectors determine link status only by monitoring input waveform changes, and can only effectively identify faults on the input side of the selector. For faults at the source side or in intermediate link segments, they are often unable to discriminate accurately.

To address this pain point, the Yace HDLC-SWITCH specially provides an HDLC-PRO protocol parsing mode. It directly parses HDLC protocol data and evaluates link health based on the quality of actual service data. It accurately identifies source-side faults and overcomes the inherent limitations of conventional hardware-level electrical signal detection. This fundamentally solves the challenge of source-side fault determination and significantly improves the accuracy of redundant link selection and fault detection.
